Haneen Hossam was Sentenced to 3 years in prison and a fine of 200 thousand Egyptian pounds.

The Cairo Criminal Court, Circuit 15 South, held in the New Cairo Courts Complex, today, on April 18, 2022, sentenced Ms. Haneen Hosam – one of the Tik Tok girls – to three years in prison, and a fine of 200,000 pounds, in Case No. 2106 of 2020 North Cairo, known in the media as the case of human trafficking.

Stops in the Journey of Haneen Hosam:
1- Following the month of April 2020, the Public Prosecution ordered the detention of Haneen and others in connection with Case No. 1087 of 2020, as they are accused of assaulting Egyptian family principles and values in “The Tik Tok Girls Case”.

2- On June 16, 2020, the prosecution referred Ms. “Haneen” to the Economic Court in connection with the same case, and after nearly two months, she was sentenced to 2 years in prison and a fine of 300,000 pounds.

3- At the beginning of 2021, the Economic Court of Appeals acquitted Haneen.

4- The matter did not stop at that, for nearly two months after Haneen’s acquittal, specifically in March 2021, she was included in a new case of “human trafficking” – the aforementioned statement -.

5- At the June 20, 2021 session, the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced Haneen to 10 years in prison in absentia, and fined her 200,000 pounds for her accusation of human trafficking. She was also arrested just two days after the verdict was issued, after appearing in a live broadcast on social media.

6- On today, April 18, 2022, the Cairo Criminal Court, Circuit 15 South, held in the New Cairo Courts Complex, sentenced Mrs. Haneen Hosam to three years in prison, and fined her 200,000 pounds in the above-mentioned case.
