Ms. Radwa Mohamedd Farid, who was released yesterday with the guarantee of residence pending case No. 488 of 2019 Supreme State Security, known in the media as “Al-Safafeer” case.
Ms. Nagla Fathi Fouad, known as “Nour al-Khatib”, who was released with the guarantee of residence pending Case No. 65 of 2021 Supreme State Security.
It is worth noting that Ms. Radwa was arrested in late November 2019 for publishing a video criticizing Al Sisi’s policies and his wife, Ms. Intisar. Subsequently, she was included in the aforementioned case for joining a terrorist group and spreading false news.
She was also included in case No. 855 of 2020 Supreme State Security. She remained in pretrial detention in Al Qanater Women’s Prison pending the two cases until the Cairo Criminal Court ordered her release yesterday.
As for Ms. Nagla Fathi, known as “Nour Al-Khatib”, she was investigated by the Supreme State Security Prosecution in late June 2020. She was included in Case No. 535 of 2020 State Security Court, known in the media as the “Corona” case. She remained in pretrial detention until the court ordered her release on January 18th, 2021.
The aforementioned order was not implemented. Nevertheless, she was rotated pending a new case. A few days later, she reappeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution again pending Case No. 65 of 2021 Supreme State Security. Her main charge was joining a terrorist group. Nagla remained in pretrial detention until the court, yesterday, ordered her release with the guarantee of residence.
